World Mental Health Day

We All Face Battles in Life – Let’s Fight Together

As many of you may already know, World Mental Health Day is coming up on the 10th of October, and this year’s theme hits home for me: Mental Health in the Workplace.

I’ve faced my own battles with mental health in the past, particularly during times when life’s pressures felt overwhelming. It’s a fight that many of us go through silently, but today, I want to speak up. 💬

According to the statistics, over 700,000 people globally die by suicide each year, and 280 million people suffer from depression & anxiety. That’s not even counting the 12 billion workdays lost each year due to anxiety and stress-related issues. It’s clear that mental health is a battle we must take seriously, whether it's at work, at home, or in the ring.

For me, boxing became my lifeline. It was not just about physical strength; it was about building the mental resilience to push through difficult times. It’s the same principles I share in my book, 12 Boxing Principles of Success. These principles—like resilience, focus, discipline, and the will to win—are not just for fighters. They’re for anyone who wants to navigate life’s storms.

We all face battles. But no matter what you’re going through, remember: you can emerge stronger. 💪

Let’s continue the conversation on mental health in the workplace, encourage support systems, and remember that mental health matters every day, not just on October 10th.

So, as World Mental Health Day approaches, I encourage you to take that step—reach out to someone, take a break when you need it, and most importantly, don’t be afraid to ask for help. 🌱

Train like a fighter. Think like a champion.
